Java is one of the most widely used and popular programming languages. An important reason for its popularity is that the same Java program can run on different devices – from Windows or MacOS based desktops to handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets. In this course students will be introduced to the Java programming language. The students will also learn important object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts like classes, object and inheritance. The students will apply what they have learnt and build a GUI based calculator using java.
After learning the visual programming tools, students will have a good deal of coding experience. With the computer science concepts learnt and applied in drag-and-drop system, they can start writing some real code!
Python is a very powerful, professional programming language used to create sites like YouTube and Dropbox, yet it is extremely user-friendly because of its simplicity and readability.
In this course, we will relate Python code to the familiar coding blocks found in Scratch, App Inventor 2, and Stencyl. This gives students a smooth transition and good understanding of the relationship between visual programming and syntax-based programming.
With Unreal Engine by Epic Games, you’ll design your own Fortnite-inspired levels while discovering gameplay strategies, game mechanics, team-building, streaming, and level-design analysis in Fortnite. Use your new skills to build Battle Royale levels and kickstart your future as an Unreal Engine pro.
Children will get to think like a real scientist and an engineer. They will be challenged to design and program robots that solve fun and inspirational task. This course is designed to capture children’s curiosity, and direct it toward discovering how science and technology impact the world around them. This course features a real world challenge to be explored through problem solving, critical thinking and teamwork.
Dig into the Minecraft source code to explore the fundamentals of the Java programming language by creating custom blocks, items, and mods for Minecraft. This course introduces Java programming in an accessible way that’s sure to get students excited about a future in coding
